2015 Busan Christmas Tree Festival

Looking for something special over the Christmas while in Busan? Busan’s Gwangbok-ro district is currently light up blissfully with tree lights and packed with booths.DS

The Busan Christmas Tree Festival, Busan’s annual winter event, will be held in the Gwangbok-ro area of the Jung-gu District in Busan. The even has already started and will run till the 3rd of January 2016.2012-12

The event is open to the public, so no need to worry about any admission fees. Kids of all ages are very welcome to this event. A wonderful way to show kids a bright and starry Christmas night.크리스마스8

To enjoy the Christmas atmosphere, there is open concerts, a tree to wish upon, street performances by local artists, love coins collecting, a photo and video competition and so much more going on. 사진1

Especially on Christmas Eve at 7 p.m roughly there will be a “Christmas Eve” performance and on Christmas Day at 7 p.m approx there are events such as festive performances and cake cutting to grab your attention from the shivering cold. There will also be atalent show for anyone to take part in and can showcase their hidden talents.20f

Expect lots of people to attend this event which is evident from the pictures you see here. But do not despair, You will have buckets of fun and take it all in with a smile and get the pictures you want. Go with friends to enjoy the spirit of it all even more thoroughly.

As for transportation, If you go by subway, make sure to go to Nampo Station (Busan Subway Line 1), Exit 1. From there walk on for about 150m and take a right at Gudeok-ro. Take a left at the 2nd alley, continue for about 70m and turn right at the first alley. Go straight for until you see the Gwangbok-ro area. Take Bus 8, 15, 17, 26, 27, 30, 41, 58-1, 61, 70, 71, 103, 113, 126, 134, 139, or 1003 and get off at Nampo Station.
