a month agoI had a fantastic stay at Kimchee Busan Downtown Guesthouse! The dorms were very comfortable, and the cleanliness was impressive, especially in the toilets, which were always spotless. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. They went out of their way to assist with anything we needed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. One of the highlights was meeting fellow travelers from around the world; it was a great spot for connecting with people and sharing experiences. The location is another plus, as it’s conveniently close to Beomnaegol Metro Station, making it easy to explore Busan. Overall, I’d highly recommend this guesthouse for anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and well-located place to stay in Busan!

3 weeks agoWelcoming small street littered with rubbish, worst place we stayed on our month long holiday. Like other people said, the room had'nt been cleaned properly. Terrible mattresses, its like they forgot to put any padding and all you feel is the hard wire frame. Rooms were very basic compared to other places we stayed. Bathrooms not all on the same floor. General vibe of the place was not clean. Only good thing about this place is its location. Would not stay here again.

2 months agoThis has more of a youth hostel vibe than a guesthouse :) I was super skeptical at first because of past reviews, but honestly for the price, it is very good. Of course, my dorm was not 5-star, but the bed was comfortable, and my bedmates (mixed dorms) were in extremely polite and considerate! I've slept very well. I've stayed in other "better" guesthouses where people were being super inconsiderate after 11pm. The bathrooms and showers were pristine when I was there. Staff were super nice!

4 months agoThis hostel is fine for the price. There are no curtains on the beds, and no surfaces or places to put your things except for the locker, which is pretty small. It wouldn't fit most suitcases. So, it's hard to unpack. But the location is good, the bathrooms are clean, and there is a lounge and kitchen open 24/7. So the bunks are fine for a few days, if you are traveling light. If you are staying longer, I'd get a nicer hostel.

4 weeks agoThe Kimchee Busan is a very sociable hostel. The common rooms are always busy because a lot of people live in the hostel and/or work voluntarily and spend their day there. The many mosquitoes in the common rooms are super annoying. For the price, however, you can't expect a super clean luxury hostel. There are no curtains on the beds, a small towel is provided free of charge and there is a water dispenser in the common room. Unfortunately, the reception is only open from 4 p.m.
