Where to find the best Jokbal: Manjok Oh-Hyang Jokbal
Have you ever eaten steamed pig’s feet?
This is one of the best restaurants in the city for eating Jokbal. Along with the very soft and tender meat you can have a nice rice cake and dumplings soup.
This place is so popular and well known for its Jokbal that you might have to stay in line to get a seat.
We suggest you get there early if you are not willing to wait. The place got extended and it has two restaurants one next to each other. You ask for you table on the official one and than you are asked to go next door if that’s the case.
Maybe the idea of eating pigs feet might seem a little weird for some people, but once you have a little taste of it you totally fall in love with the dish and will ask for more.
The dish is about 30.000 WON and it serves 3 to 4 people. You can either order the non spicy Jokbal or the spicy version. They also offer the option of ordering half half. The soup comes together and you can add other dishes and side dishes. It is common to have some drinks with this dish, so expect to see lots of happy and maybe loud people around.
The restaurant is located in a small alley, about a block away from exit 8 of City Hall Station (Subway Line 1 and 2). Their opening hours is everyday from 3pm to 10pm, and from 2pm to 10pm on Sundays.
Jokbal is served only during dinner time, they serve simple noodle and dumpling soup dishes during the day. Best hour to go probably is just before 6:30pm.
Overall, it is quite an experience and very worth for the food! If you love Jokbal or if you have never tried before, make sure you try this place.
