Get In Touch With Nature At Juknokwon Bamboo Garden
In the South-West of South Korea, lies the city of Damyang, where Juknokwon bamboo garden is located. You probably haven’t heard about it before, but close to that city is one of Korea’s slow cities. A slow city is a place known to be the complete opposite of Seoul, where everything is quiet and there’s nobody rushing around you.
The bamboo garden is a popular destination, for people that want to get away from their busy city lives. And experience a different type of nature than what’s around their city, with the bamboo garden being the perfect place to have that experience.
To walk around the entire garden, will take you about an hour. When you tour around the garden, you will experience things such as an artificial waterfall, a pavillion, multiple walking paths and endless thick bamboo forests. During the evening, the lights are turned on. Walking around the bamboo garden at night, is truly a beautiful sight to experience.
How to get there:
From Seoul take an express bus, from the Express bus Terminal. Headed towards Damyang
The journey from Seoul to Damyang will take 3 hours and 50 minutes.
When you arrive at the terminal, take a Bongsan-Damyang (봉산, 담양) route bus.
You should get off at Juknokwon bus stop, and walk across the road.
