Exploring mine: Gwangmyeong Cave Theme Park
Gwangmyeong Cave is located in the center of the motropolitan area of Seoul, so it is easily reachable via public transportation. It only takes about 35 minutes by subway from Seoul station.
There are many geological feature and thematic areas set up in the cave. It offers variety experience programs, so the cave is great place to get close to nature.
Also, This place become more popular after TV program ‘Running man’ was filmed.
Let’s step into an underground world!
1. Space of light & Wind road
As soon as you enter this space, you can feel chiily wind. And path is illuminated with colorful light. This is good place to take a nice picture.
2. Art stardium
In the middle of cave, there are wide screen and stage. You can watch performances and movie, there.
3. Aqua World
Aqua world has various underwater creatures. You can have unique experience seeting fishes while walking the cave.
4. Golden waterfall, Golden path, Goldene palace
You can explore golden world in the cave. Due to mineral, some part of the cave are covored with golden color. The higtlight of the tunnel is golden status of Aisha. Ancient legend has it that if you touch the pieces of gold coins sitting in her hand, you will be granted a properous and happy future. Therefre, there is usually a line of visitors in front of the statue hoping to see if the legend is true.
5. Wine Cave
It offers visitors a unique opportunity to take part in wine tasting, with 78 different varieties of quality wine across eight different Korean vineyards. Once you are done tasting, you can even purchase the wine you like to take home.
